Diego’s background and approach
Here’s a recent interview with Diego to give you a little more background on who he is and what makes him tick.
What prompted you to start contract compliance auditing advertising and media agencies?
I have extensive experience in finance at media and advertising agencies gained over 13 years, including 4 years as CFO in Argentina for Starcom; moving to compliance auditing was a natural step for me.
How have your previous experiences in business helped you at Financial Progression?
My previous audit and agency experience means I have hands on knowledge of media, digital and advertising with an understanding of how audit works from both sides; this is ideal experience for helping at Financial Progression and allows me to add value to its clients.
Which part of your work gives you the greatest sense of achievement?
I like to have the recognition of the client and agency that our work helped to find solutions to any problems that existed and improve the relationship between them.
How would people describe you?
I think people would describe me as practical, organized, analytical and high energy – making progress every day in every aspect of my work. The most important thing is to be a good person.
What motivates you to do what you do?
A long time ago when Luis and I worked together covering Argentina and the Latam Markets (he as my boss), we always talked about working together in the future for clients to help them improve processes, transparency, FTE´s, agreements, audit, etc. It is important to mention that in Latin America there are a lot of potential areas for improvement in the relationship between clients and agencies.
Finally when I first worked with Adrian Jenkins on an audit in Brazil, I could see how he thinks and how he works and I´m totally in line with him. For this reason I like being part of Financial Progression’s team helping it to move forward and grow every day.
What can you be found doing when you’re not at work?
For me it is very important to spend time with my 2 daughters – they are everything to me. I like to play football with my friends at least once a week and at the weekends enjoy barbecues with my family and friends.
